An Acrostic Poem For July: A Dash Across the Street

Posted by Maddie on July 1, 2011 at 8:25 AM

Flash Poem + Acrostic Poem: A Dash Across the Street

J-skip: Who wants to be one of the many any way?

Undress the white that designates crosswalks. All the same.

Linger in the lime, light the tangled path.

Yesterday already dimmed. Did you notice?

Inspired by a dash across the street.

Enjoy!

Jaded plants wait
Until I splash
Life which they rely on
Young, but at their end

This is truly a fun way to write a poem for July. I love the inspiration from dash across the street. Very amusing poem...other months to follow?

Hey Maddie, I tried a flash poem. I tried June to go with your July. Flash poetry and its spontaneity may reflect your purest thoughts. I wrote "JUNE"in 3 minutes.

Jump for joy every morn
Unleash those burdens clouding your path
Never look back nor be shackled again
Err not in finding your road, one that is your own
